FOX COURTS APARTMENTS
OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA - COMPLETED 2009
Jordan Rose, Project Architect & PM for Pyatok Architects, AOR
Fox Courts is an affordable housing project by local non-profit developer Resources for Community Development. We developed this project to contain dual courtyards, stoops for ground floor units, a combination of townhouses and flats, and included several community spaces and amenities. The project achieved a high sustainability score, using solar panels and efficient systems. One of the special features of Fox Courts was the use of custom artwork for several components of the building, including exterior tiles, decorative metal columns, and a mural that was designed in an art class at the adjacent Oakland School for the Arts by muralist Eduardo Pineda.
